Pollinators

Pollinators have been a large part of owners, Jacob and Kendall Torres' life for a long time. With 10 years experience with native bees and honeybees, they want to see them thrive as long as they can. News outlets have been reporting colony losses for a while now, and the outlook of honeybees surviving is still grim. The four P's: pesticides, pathogens, parasites, and poor nutrition have all played a role in large losses across the world.

Here at Prairie Gardens Land Ethic, we want to teach the community about sustainable ways to help out not only bees, but all native pollinators of Northwest Illinois.
